AN INTERREGIONAL BANK WITH AN INTERNATIONAL OUTLOOK
Banca Popolare di Vicenza (BPVI) was established in 1866. For more than 140 years the Bank has been offering retail and corporate banking services. Its headquarters are located in Vicenza. Even though mainly concentrated in the North-Eastern part of Italy, BPVI Group now operates all over the country through 638 branch network. Today BPVI is a multi-regional bank with a good franchise in its home region of Veneto in north-east Italy, where its operations remain concentrated. Through acquisitions beginning in 2000, BPVI has widened its geographical coverage to include southern Italy and Sicily, where its subsidiary Banca Nuova is headquartered, and Tuscany, where the bank acquired a 92% stake in Cassa di Risparmio di Prato. On 14th December 2007 BPVI purchased from a first class Italian Bank 61 branches located in Lombardy. Further to the acquisition, BPVI consolidated its positioning in the wealthiest part of Italy, strengthening the link between Vicenza and Milan, historical provinces of presence of the Group. The aim of BPVI for the next few years is to consolidate its acquisitions focusing on the traditional banking to offer services both to private and corporate customers.
On the international front, the Bank has one subsidiary in Ireland BPV Finance (International) PLC - Dublin, two Representative Offices in China, Hong Kong and Shanghai, and one in India in New Delhi. BPVI is opening two new Representative Offices in San Paolo (Brazil) and in New York (USA). The presence in Bruxelles is provided by the Representative Offices of ICBPI/Istituto Centrale Banche Popolari Italiane.
In order to ensure effective international service for its clients, the Bank has acquired minority participations in eight banks in Eastern Europe such as:

BPVI has signed Cooperation Agreements with 42 foreign Banks in the following countries: Albania, Argentina, Australia, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China, Korea, Egypt, Russian Federation, Philippine, Japan, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Macedonia, Per?, Poland, Spain, South Africa, Taiwan, Tunisia, USA, Vietnam.
